Such a gem of a place - clean, secure, on the beach, beach beds, umbrellas and a full service bar and restaurant. You can spend a whole day on the beach in a wonderful environment. Beach beds (10 Euros) and cabanas are available for a nominal cost. Complimentary chilled water bottles are offered with that. I think this is a great gesture. You can order food on the beach or eat in the restaurant. The food quality is excellent and each dish is simply so well prepared and presented. The beach is lovely and it is not crowded. We really enjoyed our every minute and had a memorable day. The servers were super helpful and eager to please. Yup. This is a solid spot for a day on the beach.
Very beautiful placed bar. The service is good and they play lounge background music for the customers. Clean and not too crowded. The food is also very delicous and worth its money. Also the drinks were very fancy. Will definately visit again.
The bar/restaurant is located next to the seaside. There are many choices for seating;
Relaxed lounge type sofas, bar type tables with half stand seats and more traditional restaurant tables.
Service is exemplary, plenty of staff around if you need someone.
Great atmosphere, clever places LED lighting and a DJ playing together with live saxophone.
Good size portions, great cocktails and fairly priced food.
I would highly recommend the sushi as it is freshly made and is of great quality.

The beach infrastructure is really above and beyond and the music is what you need in a beach bar
The drinks/coffee also amazing
However the food menu over the beach is very limited and offers things like sushi but not a decent salad (only Cesar)
Reservation over the weekend and during high season recommended

We had a great night at Cicada yesterday. The service was very friendly, attentive and professional. My wife and I tried a couple of different dishes, three starters, a salad and two mains and all of our food was excellent both in composition and taste, as well as in presentation. The wine was nice too, we picked a local wine from a well curated list of both local and international options. Also I would explicitly like to mention the very capable DJ Theodore K (I asked 😉) who served the perfect sundowner soundtrack, well worthy of any Ibiza beach club (which would have easily charged us triple the price for a comparable experience). @Theodore, if you’re reading this, I would love to get a sundowner mixtape, if you can record one of your cicada sessions!
Thanks for a great night out and we will be back next week as there were many more options on the menu, we are eager to try.
Update #1: We stayed a full day at the beach club on a Sunday, which was super busy, yet the staff seemed to have it all under control pretty well. Even slight delays in service were accompanied by apologies when the orders arrived, but nothing got missed. The crew definitely made some miles that day. We ate again at the restaurant in the evening and it was once more very good. Even though my steak arrived overcooked, it was immediately and without any discussion replaced with a perfect one within a few minutes, after I notified the waiter.
Today we are staying at the beach again - it is a relaxed Tuesday today and tonight we will try the Sushi at the restaurant for our last evening on Crete, so I will add a second update and some more pictures the upcoming days.
Update #2: The Sushi was amazing and easily one of the best, if not THE best in the Heraklion area. I added some pictures to this post. There are classic options, as well as own creations on the menu. We ordered six different types of Sushi, each arriving in servings of 8 pieces. It was a little excessive for only two people, but we almost ate all of it. :)

Food is fantastic, service and interior are first class.
Very nice beach. 5€ per seat with an umbrella. Fix pint for another 5€. Lovely music and much fun watching planes landing onto Heraklion airport.
